The cooling of concrete is usually achieved by the addition of ice. Other systems to cool the aggregates directly have never really succeeded. Obviously the ice production in hot climates is the most expensive method of concrete cooling. Our target is to avoid the ice production and to use a more intelligent and economic way for concrete cooling.
The newly developed LINTEC Solution ACS (= Aggregate Cooling System) is cooling all aggregates directly. For this purpose a patented process was developed which uses pre-cooled water and a fan system to cool the fine sand as well as the bigger aggregates.
This aggregate cooling allows the production of concrete without the use of ice in hot desert environment. The aggregate cooling system ACS leads to cost savings of more than 50% in comparison to the use of ice cooling system.
